Educational Classroom Programs
We have created an end-to-end STEM program designed specifically towards middle schools. Lesson plans, quizzes, and study guides, pre and post video quizzes (with answers for teachers), a professionally created video, activities for in class learning, and much more. Students gain valuable knowledge and experience with the scientific process by conducting an investigation that explores the factors that increase or decrease erosion using a model they build. A short Zoom meeting with one of our experts is available.
Live Research Programs:
Join us in the field on our boats and enjoy experiences which are designed to help you create positive change in our ecosystems. Fly an underwater drone, interact with an underwater diver, shoot 4K video.
Custom Programs:
Are you looking for something that you don't see here? Our educational group can help you. No matter what you're wanting to arrange, we can help you create an age-appropriate and engaging educational opportunity. Fill out our contact form to get learn more. You can view a sample of what our in-class presentations are like below.

"The Summer Lecture Series here at Billy Frank Junior Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge has been providing informative, intellectual presentations to diverse audiences for over 30 years. The focus is always based on the natural world and often related to the ecosystem found at the Refuge. Your presentation on Underwater Puget Sound, fit perfectly in our scope of programming and was well received by our savvy and knowledgeable visitors. Your topic, images, and presentation skills did not disappoint. We would love to have you back again."

“I am so grateful that you were willing to come to our school at the date and time we needed. I especially appreciate your willingness to work with our students who all have diverse needs. The wiggling and interruptions are difficult to handle and you handled it all with ease. Many students asked me why we didn’t just have you presenting on that day instead of having all the other activities. They wanted to listen to you the whole time. Students talked about your presentation for days afterward. We’ve never had a speaker that made such an impact. Several students and teachers have asked if you are coming back next year!”

"Drew gave a great presentation for us at The Royal Room in Columbia City. The audience was particularly enthralled by his deep knowledge of the creatures of Puget Sound, including when he told the story of what it takes for a Giant Pacific Octopus baby to survive. What harrowing things happen along our city’s shore! Drew’s presentation is unique because he couples these kinds of stories with his exquisite pictures."

“Drew came to the Shoreline Library and presented his photography and expertise to a rapt audience. We had an excellent turnout for an event on a lovely summer evening. The images were beautiful, the stories compelling, and the knowledge he shared with the audience was inspiring.”
